TRANSLATION: The leaders of the demons thought it unwise to hold the tail, the inauspicious portion of the snake. I don’t really have anything against veganism, but I can’t help being analytical; several times I have asked myself: What will happen to those children who never drank milk, because they came from vegan parents? In fact, veganism is experimental and to obtain results and reach a conclusion, several decades of experimentation and trial are required; apart from error, only to obtain statistical data and reach a conclusion.
Personally, I sometimes eat vegan food for a week and without realizing it, but my diet has always been lacto-vegetarian, even before entering the movement; and I regularly recommend it when I see people with obesity problems or who have a very toxic diet; I think it’s a good alternative for at least some time; but not as a diet adapted for a lifetime.
Vegetarianism is the original diet for human beings, especially if we take information from the ancient Vedas of India and it includes cow’s milk as food and to develop intelligence.
Naturally, the subject is very extensive and Srila Prabhupada emphasizes it in some meanings of Bhagavad gita, as well as Srimad Bhagavatam among other comments.
Personally, I consider myself faithful to his instructions and have never questioned any of his teachings.
